Nail Fungus Infection Treatment
Nail fungal infections account for about half of all nail abnormalities. Although fungus is normal in the body it can cause problems if it grows too much. They are also known by the names tinea unguium and onychomycosis. Toenails as well as fingernails can be infected. This is usually seen as thickening and discoloration of the nails and crumbling edges. This condition is most common in the toenails.
Plantar Warts Removal
Verrucas are also known as plantar warts. They can be found in the soles of the feet or toes. Plantar warts aren't caused by HPV infections that occur in other locations than the feet. HPV can be contagious. Plantar warts, can be transmitted from person-to-person either by direct skin-toskin contact or indirectly, through contact with an object or surface that carries the virus. Children and those with weak immune systems are at greater risk of getting common diseases.
Athlete's Foot Treatment
Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection that affects the upper layers of the skin. It is most common when the skin is hot, moist, and irritated.
It's also known as tinea pedicle and ringworm foot. Trichophyton is the fungus responsible for athlete's feet. It is often found on floors or in clothes.
The athlete's foot fungus can only be infected if the conditions are right. For example, it needs to be kept warm and moist. This is why only 0.75% are affected if they walk barefoot.
However, 70% will develop athlete's feet at one time.
Most commonly, athlete's foot develops between their toes. It can cause burning, stinging and reddening of the skin as well as itching. Some people also experience flaking of their skin.
Ingrown Toenails
Ingrown toenails are curved and grow into the skin at the border of the nail (the sides). Nail digging can cause irritation to the skin and often causes pain, redness, swelling, warmth, and inflammation. Ingrown nails can cause a cut on the skin. Bacteria may then enter the area and cause infection. This is often accompanied by drainage and an unpleasant odor. Even if the ingrown nail isn't painful, red, swelling, or warm, it can lead to infection if it curves down into the skin.
Orthotics & Orthopedic Shoes
Orthotics are inserts that correct the soles of your shoes or boots. To ensure proper foot-to-arch alignment, arch support, balance, and foot-to-ankle alignment the inserts are precisely tailored to your feet. There are many options for orthotics, but only genuine custom-made orthotics can be purchased after a professional such as a podiatrist or chiropodist has done a biochemical analysis, including gait analysis, and given you a prescription detailing the problem and the possible solutions.
